Dr. Kathleen Mullaney and Team donate over $35,000 worth of free dental treatment for our Veterans!
On October 12, 2017 Dr. Mullaney and her team were honored to donate over $35,000 worth of free dental care to our Veterans on Freedom Day USA. Dr. Mullaney and her team provided free dental cleanings, exams and filling for our Veterans. Additionally, Dr. Mullaney was joined by Dr. Naimi and Paterson from Northern Virginia Oral, Maxillofacial & Implant Surgery who helped perform extractions and Dr. Maimi Yamaguchi performed Root Canals for our wonderful Veterans. Our Veterans were treated to food throughout the day by: Alexandria Pastry Shop, King Street Blues of Old Town and Bittersweet Catering. Team Placement, a local dental placement agency, graciously provided volunteers for the day as well. Without our community of caring partners we could not make this a reality, so we thank them!
Dr. Mullaney and her team are committed to giving back to our Veterans to thank them for their service to our country!

Kathleen Mullaney DDS and her Team donated over $13,000.00 worth of free dental services to our Veteran's
On Thursday, September 10, 2015 businesses across the United States joined Freedom Day USA, a national Thank You Movement for the members of our military along with Veterans. Each business donated services in the form of free services, goods, discounts, and various other offers. Locally, Kathleen Mullaney DDS partnered with Freedom Day USA to present free cleanings, x-rays, exams, oral cancer screenings, fillings and extractions to those that serve our country. Dr. Kathleen Mullaney and her team welcomed many of our nation’s veterans and active duty service members to her practice to provide free dental services. Dr. Brewer, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon from Alexandria Oral Surgery, and his assistant volunteered their services as well. Participants were asked to schedule an appointment in advance and due to increased staff availability Dr. Mullaney’s team was able to offer walk-in appointments into the afternoon. Alexandria Mayor William Euille dropped by in the afternoon to meet some of the Veterans and give his thanks to Dr. Mullaney and the team for this event. Breakfast and lunch was gererously provided by local businesses in Alexandria. Goody bags donated from dental companies and other businesses were given to each patient before they left. Those that came to the practice were elated and very pleased with the services provided – some even decided to make Dr. Mullaney their new dentist. Of the practice’s success on Freedom Day, owner Dr. Mullaney said, “This has been a dream of mine for a very long time. I’m so happy that I finally made it come true and gave back to our service members.” The office hopes to help a larger crowd in the years to come.”
